Artist Incubator

Miami Beach, FL

Miami Beach is a popular tourist destination known for its vibrant nightlife, beaches, and attractions, however, there is excess by the tourists and residents. These patterns of overconsumption contribute to socioeconomic disparities and excessive luxury development and consumption in certain areas of Miami Beach exacerbate income inequality and limit access to affordable housing and resources for local residents.

The persistence of this excess creates difficult and inconvenient financial, social, and physical situations that you have to navigate when there.

this excess is reflected with the overall form, creating a structure that stands tall and bulky, one that fills and spills over the alley. The excess also happens with the programs, where the overlaps create hybrid programs, such as a gallery within an amphitheater that is right above a studio, all which are tied together with atypical paths.
